About Psi Eta Mu
We are an organization that strives to foster professional and academic life-long relationships through encouraging growth, internship opportunities and networking. PHM was founded here in 2021 at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign by students in the BS Information Sciences major. The organization is open to all students in the iSchool, along with students in other majors who wish to explore Data Science, Information Science, and Information Systems.
Professional
Membership in Psi Eta Mu is a journey of professional growth, rooted in our core value of professionalism from pledgeship through active membership. We are dedicated to helping our members excel in their chosen career fields by providing valuable networking and learning opportunities.
Through a wide range of professional events-- such as resume workshops, speaker panels, and coding workshops-- we equip our members with the essential skills needed for success in the workforce. Our collaborations with corporations offer a unique, real-world insight into professional roles, ensuring that our members are well-prepared and confident as they advance in their careers.
